Letter from the RIGS board (Dec 11, 2015) to the Providence City Council regarding the elimination of the City Archivist position . The board feels strongly that this action is detrimental to the preservation of Rhode Island historical documents. The board also feels that the present incumbent archivist, Paul Campbell, has done an exceptional job in that role.
